If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

At 1221 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lewistown to 19 miles northwest of Carlisle to 13 miles northwest of Shippensburg. Movement was east northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Honey Grove, New Bloomfield, Spruce Hill, Mexico, Bloserville, Loysville, Ickesburg, Big Spring State Park, Walnut, Colonel Denning State Park, Mifflintown, Port Royal, Thompsontown, Millerstown, Mifflin, Blain, Landisburg, and New Germantown.
