At 159 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Cartersville, or 13 miles southwest of Florence, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Timmonsville, Sardis, and Cartersville. This includes Interstate 95 in South Carolina between mile markers 147 and 153.
