At 245 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Aiken State Park, or 13 miles northeast of Aiken, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Aiken, Aiken Mall, New Ellenton, USC Aiken, Aiken Municipal Airport, Citizens Park, Edgefield County Airport, Aiken State Park, Wagener, Salley, Perry, Trenton, Windsor, Aiken Gopher Tortoise Heritage Preserve, Perry Airport, Hopeland Gardens, Steedman, and New Holland. This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 14 and 37.
