At 221 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Sandy Run, or 8 miles southeast of Cayce, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbia, Lexington, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, McEntire Air Base, Red Bank, Oak Grove, St. Andrews, South Congaree, Pine Ridge, Gaston, Arcadia Lakes, Congaree National Park, Hopkins, Horrel Hill, Riverbanks Zoo, SC State Farmer's Market, Columbia Metro Airport, and SC State Fair Grounds. This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 54 and 64. Interstate 26 between mile markers 108 and 129.
