At 1156 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Newberry, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Prosperity, Blair, Pomaria, US- 176 and SC-34 Crossroads, and Mid-Carolina High School. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 71 and 84.
