At 658 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Lake Greenwood State Park, or 15 miles southwest of Newberry. This storm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Saluda, Silverstreet, Hollywood Elementary School, Emory, Chappells, Chappells Fire Station, Saluda Co Sheriff's Office, Scurry Airport, Good Hope, Hickory Grove, and Saluda High School.
