At 723 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Newberry County Airport, or near Newberry, moving southwest at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Newberry, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport, Silverstreet, Hollywood Elementary School, Chappells, Chappells Fire Station, Newberry County Detention Center, and Bush River Fire Station. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 67 and 75.
