At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hopkins, or 7 miles southeast of Cayce, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, Dentsville, St. Andrews, Arcadia Lakes, Riverbanks Zoo, Woodfield, Sesquicentennial State Park, SC State Fair Grounds, Hopkins, Fort Jackson, Columbia International University, Five Points, Horrel Hill, Olympia, Rosewood, Fort Jackson Wildcat Road, Eau Claire, and Fort Jackson Cantonment Area. This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 near mile marker 0, and between mile markers 2 and 3. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 65 and 80. Interstate 26 between mile markers 107 and 108. Interstate 77 between mile markers 4 and 21.
