At 354 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorm outflow winds extending from 6 miles west of Newell Lake to near Spearfish, or extending from 20 miles northeast of Belle Fourche to near Spearfish, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Spearfish, Sturgis, southeastern Belle Fourche, Deadwood, Whitewood, Newell, Nisland, Saint Onge, Vale, Fruitdale, Galena, Bear Butte State Park, Arpan, Fort Meade, Belle Fourche Reservoir, Newell Lake, Owl Butte, Apple Springs, northern Spearfish Canyon and Crow Peak. This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 6 and 38.
