At 1201 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 6 miles northeast of Highmore to near Degrey Rec Area, or extending from 6 miles northeast of Highmore to 21 miles northwest of Lower Brule, moving south at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. The strong thunderstorm will be near... Highmore around 1205 AM CDT. West Bend Rec Area and Joe Creek Rec Area around 1210 AM CDT. Stephan around 1215 AM CDT. Fort Thompson, Lower Brule, Counselor Creek Boat Access Area, Tailrace Rec Area, Medicine Butte and Lees Corner around 1225 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include Crow Creek Reservation and Lower Brule Reservation.
