At 238 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, or 12 miles southeast of Maryville, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Maryville, Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Townsend, Cades Cove, and Happy Valley.
