At 620 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16 miles northwest of Realitos, or 17 miles west of Benavides, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Duval and east central Webb Counties. This includes US Highway 59 between mile markers 778 and 792.
