At 658 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Cottonwood Heights to Benjamin. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Provo, Sandy, Murray, Park City, Heber City, West Jordan, Orem, Taylorsville, South Jordan, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Spanish Fork, Pleasant Grove, Cottonwood Heights, Springville, Midvale, Holladay, American Fork, and Herriman. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 252 and 300. Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 145 and 146. US Route 6 between mile markers 174 and 178. US Route 40 between mile markers 1 and 49. Utah Route 35 between mile markers 0 and 11, and near mile marker 13. Mirror Lake Highway between mile markers 0 and 11.
