At 319 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Herriman, or 13 miles southwest of Sandy, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Sandy, Murray, West Jordan, South Jordan, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Midvale, Herriman, Bluffdale, Camp Williams, and Bingham Canyon Mine. This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 286 and 298.
