At 348 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Bingham Canyon Mine, or 10 miles east of Tooele, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... West Valley City, Sandy, Murray, West Jordan, Taylorsville, South Jordan, Draper, Riverton, Midvale, Herriman, Bluffdale, Kearns, Bingham Canyon Mine, Oquirrh, Granite, Camp Williams, and Copperton. This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 289 and 299.
