At 752 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Dugway English Village to 7 miles southwest of Cedar Fort. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... West Valley City, Sandy, Tooele, Grantsville, West Jordan, South Jordan, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Pleasant Grove, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, American Fork, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Heber, Lindon, Alpine, Stansbury Park, and Bluffdale. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 275 and 297. Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 93 and 95. US Route 40 between mile markers 13 and 16.
