At 400 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southwest of Utah Lake, or 14 miles northwest of Payson, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Provo, Orem, Spanish Fork, Springville, Vineyard, Lake Shore, Utah Lake, Palmyra, Benjamin, Brigham Young University, and West Mountain. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 254 and 270. US Route 6 between mile markers 174 and 175.
