If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for southeastern Maryland.

At 128 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles west of Onancock, or 9 miles north of Exmore, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Onancock and Onley around 135 AM EDT. Parksley around 140 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Horntown, Hallwood, Harborton, Melfa, Mappsville, Greenbackville, Saxis, Accomac, Wallops Island, and Temperanceville.
