At 1152 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Norfolk NAS, or near Old Dominion University, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Old Dominion University, Ocean View, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Norfolk NAS around 1155 PM EDT. Downtown Norfolk, Norfolk State University, Ghent, and Norview around 1200 AM EDT. Virginia Beach, Virginia Wesleyan University, Downtown Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Norfolk International around 1205 AM EDT. Regent University around 1210 AM EDT. Kempsville around 1215 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include South Norfolk, Rudee Heights, Phoebus, Mount Pleasant, Princess Anne Plaza, Sigma, Sandbridge Beach, Oceana NAS, Macons Corner, and Pungo.
