At 648 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Cradock, or near Downtown Portsmouth, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Downtown Portsmouth, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Cradock around 655 PM EDT. Ghent around 705 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include South Norfolk, Portlock, and Greenbrier.
