At 918 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near New Kent to near Charles City to 7 miles southeast of Moseley. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Charles City, West Point, Chester, Fort Lee, Ettrick, Jordans Point, Garysville, and Holdcroft around 925 PM EDT. Petersburg, Claremont, Virginia State University, Toano, Matoaca, and Rustic around 930 PM EDT. Norge, Prince George, and Burrowsville around 935 PM EDT. Williamsburg and Cabin Point around 945 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Eltham, Croaker, Lackey, Chippokes State Park, Beulah, Wayside, Camp Peary, Naxera, Cohoke, and Mattaponi.
