Bulletin details
At 222 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lake Monticello to near Fork Union. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Palmyra, Fork Union, and Lake Monticello around 225 PM EDT. Troy and Kents Store around 230 PM EDT. Ferncliff around 235 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Dixie, Nahor, Stage Junction, Shores, Zion Crossroads, Central Plains, Bremo Bluff, Antioch, Union Mills, and Caledonia.
