At 1258 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hanover to 6 miles south of Manakin. Movement was east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Richmond, Virginia Union University, University Of Richmond, Mechanicsville, Downtown Richmond, Tuckahoe, Bon Air, Virginia Commonwealth University, Laurel, and Lakeside around 105 AM EDT. Highland Springs, Manquin, and Aylett around 110 AM EDT. Saint Stephens Church around 115 AM EDT. King William, Tunstall, and Millers Tavern around 120 AM EDT. Stevensville, Bottoms Bridge, and Dunnsville around 125 AM EDT. Center Cross around 130 AM EDT. King And Queen Court House and Talleysville around 135 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Cohoke, Etna Mills, Montrose, Sandston, Rose Garden, Biscoe, Chamberlayne, Atlee, Ashcake, and Crouch.
