At 437 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Blair, or 10 miles southwest of Whitesburg, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Norton, Wise, Big Stone Gap, Pennington Gap, Appalachia, St. Charles, Jasper, Dryden, Pardee, and Pattonsville.
