At 1211 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Cheriton to near Cape Charles to 8 miles south of Bay View. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Cheriton around 1215 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Simpkins, Capeville, Townsend, Kiptopeke State Park, Oyster, Eastville, Cheapside, Kiptopeke, Plantation, and Dalbys.
