At 602 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Roanoke Mountain to near Rural Retreat. Movement was east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Torrential rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Ponding of water along highways could lead to hydroplaning. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Christiansburg... Radford... Pulaski... Wytheville... Dublin...
