At 1115 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19 miles southwest of Chewelah, or 42 miles northwest of Spokane, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Chewelah, Fruitland, Cedonia, Gifford, Hunters, and Inchelium. This includes U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 205 and 214.
