At 322 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 24 miles north of Stehekin, or 50 miles west of Omak, moving north at 35 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Klipchuck Campground, Gate Creek Campground, Holman Campground, Rattlesnake Campground, Ballard Campground, Rivers Bend Campground, and Harts Pass Campground. People working Ptarmigan, Fire should seek safe shelter immediately! This includes U.S. Highway 20 in Washington between mile markers 170 and 175.
