Locations impacted include... Charleston, Nitro, Winfield, Clay, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar, Hurricane, Sissonville, Milton, Chesapeake, Eleanor, Marmet, Belle, Buffalo, Clendenin, Cedar Grove, Poca, and East Bank. This includes the following highways... Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 20. Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 121. Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 28 and 57. West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 76 and 95. Route 119 between mile markers 65 and 80. Downpours will result in poor driving conditions for the morning commute in and around the Charleston metro area. Expect ponding of water on roadways and flooding in low-lying areas. Motorists should slow down and allow for extra time to reach your destination. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
