If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for southeastern and northeastern West Virginia.

At 144 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles south of Craigsville to 10 miles east of Bald Knob. Movement was south at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Beckley, Fayetteville, Richwood, Rainelle, Babcock State Park, Oak Hill, Mount Hope, Mabscott, Sophia, Crab Orchard, Dry Creek, Macarthur, Bradley, Shady Spring, Beaver, Piney View, Stanaford, Coal City, Prosperity, and Daniels. This includes the following highways... West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 28 and 61. Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 120 and 137. Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 36.
