What the bulletin says to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Riverton.

At 408 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Red Canyon to near South Pass Rest Area to near Farson. Movement was south at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Farson, Red Canyon, and South Pass City around 415 PM MDT. Eden around 420 PM MDT. Oregon Buttes around 425 PM MDT.
