Central Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado... * Until 1245 AM MDT. * At 1158 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 14 miles northwest of Tyrone, or 28 miles north of Trinidad, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Huerfano and central Las Animas Counties.
