Bulletin details

At 504 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Randall, or 16 miles north of Ames, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has a history of producing brief tornadoes. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Hamilton County, including the following locations... Ellsworth and Randall. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 129 and 134.
