What the bulletin says to do

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. Please send your reports of hail or wind damage by calling the National Weather Service office in Wilmington at 1 800 697 3901.

Bulletin details

At 1119 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Fair Bluff, or 11 miles northeast of Mullins, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Fair Bluff, Lake View, Cerro Gordo and Marietta.
